D uring an exclusive interview with *NBC*’s *“Meet the Press”* moderator Kristen Welker, former President Donald Trump expressed his appreciation for the recent praise he received from Russian President Vladimir Putin.

> “We surely hear that Mr. Trump says he will resolve all burning issues within several days, including the Ukrainian crisis. We cannot help but feel happy about it.”

Trump told Kristen Welker that the praise confirmed the accuracy of his positions on the War in Ukraine.

> “I like that he said that because that means what I’m saying is right. I would get him into a room. I’d get Zelenskyy into a room. Then I’d bring them together. And I’d have a deal worked out.”

On Sunday, Hillary Clinton, the former secretary of state and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee, issued a warning regarding the Russian leader’s potential interference in the upcoming 2024 election.

> “I fear that the Russians have proved themselves to be quite adept at interfering, and if he has a chance, he’ll do it again.”
