D onald Trump’s presidential approval rating stood at only 45% after 100 days in office, the lowest among recent presidents.
The only lower score listed by Gallup was achieved by Trump in his first term. Then, his approval was only at 41% after 100 days. In comparison, Joe Biden – also considered a rather unpopular U.S. president – scores higher, at least in the Gallup survey.
In Trump’s second ‘first’ 100 days in office, which ended April 29, he has thrown the world economy in disarray by entering into force (and mostly pausing) high tariff rates on countries all around the world. He also majorly cut down U.S. government staff and spending, including aid payments overseas. However, the downsizing has become a matter for the courts, with final results still outstanding.
