Nigel Farage headlined Reform UK’s circus-style conference in Birmingham on Friday, dazzling supporters with fireworks, corporate sponsors and Trumpist rhetoric.

The spectacle — complete with business backers, Conservative supporters, former Conservative ministers, climate deniers, and far-right allies — marked the party’s attempt to look like a government-in-waiting, while normalising xenophobia and authoritarian populism in Britain’s politics.
